We embrace the highest standards of scientific inquiry, rooting our work in evidence, data and rigourous analysis.
Built on the work of Harvard, Cambridge and PIMS, pims.ai combines statistics, machine learning and neural networks to quantify strategy as a science, uncovering universal performance laws with Benchmarking 4.0® and Customer Value Analysis® at its core. Drawing on St Gallen systemic management and cybernetics, it enables reliable navigation of complexity and organisational transformation.
From the origins at General Electric in the 1960s to a global leader today
PIMS® began at GE in the 1960s, analysing GE's 200 businesses to reveal universal drivers of profit. Adopted by Harvard and the Strategic Planning Institute, it became the benchmark for evidence-based strategy, with London as its hub. After joining Malik MZSG in 2005, a 2022 buyout created pims.ai, combining predictive analytics with system-based management.
